‘He starts’: Agbonlahor claims 29-year-old PL winger would definitely get in Tottenham’s team over Kulusevski

Wilfried Zaha would start for Tottenham Hotspur ahead of Dejan Kulusevski, according to TalkSPORT pundit Gabby Agbonlahor.

Zaha scored the winning goal for Palace against Wolves last night, inspiring his team to victory after they fell behind just past the half-hour mark.

The 29-year-old’s contract runs out at the end of the season and Agbonlahor said that Spurs – as well as Arsenal and Chelsea – should make Zaha an offer.

Agbonlahor says Zaha is better than Kulusevski

Agbonlahor said: “I don’t think he’s missed his chance. Watching the game last night, I found out his contract expires next summer.

“He can go on a free transfer to a top club. If you’re Arsenal, Spurs or Chelsea, you’re snapping him up on a three-year contract at the age of 30.

“Last night he was outstanding. He’s a great player and hopefully he gets that big move. He starts at Spurs. Yeah, he starts at Spurs. He starts. I’d have Zaha over Kulusevski. I’d have Son, Kane, Zaha.”

Fellow pundit Ray Parlour added: “I think I would go Zaha as well. Kulusevski has been obviously absolutely brilliant but I like Zaha. I think there’s an opportunity for him.”

Zaha has thus far remained loyal to Palace but it remains to be seen whether he will commit his future to the club before the end of the season.

The wideman has been sensational for the Eagles down the years and he is their talisman and best player, but Kulusevski is loved by Tottenham fans and has been a sensational signing.

If Zaha is going to trade his Palace status in, surely it is only for a club where he will be starting every week, rather than being a squad player at another team.

Is he better than Kulusevski? Football is a game of opinions. The Swede’s creativity has been missed in recent games, but Zaha is clear when it comes to longevity in the Premier League and winning games on his own.
