Mark Bosnich has urged Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson to leave Old Trafford for Newcastle United as soon as possible.
A lot is expected of the Magpies in the January transfer window.
They need reinforcements in a number of positions and although they have three excellent goalkeepers in Martin Dubravka, Karl Darlow and Freddie Woodman, they have been linked with a few others.
Henderson is one of them and Bosnich believes that a move to St James’ Park would be brilliant for him. He thinks that the Englishman has no future at Manchester United and has urged him to join Newcastle ASAP.
Bosnich urges Dean Henderson to join Newcastle United
Bosnich, who played for Manchester United back in the day, was asked about Henderson’s future on TalkSport yesterday.
He said: “I think he should go. He’s at the stage of his career where he needs to be playing regular football. He’ll know that as well. I think from Dean Henderson’s point of view, he needs to start looking after Dean Henderson.
“Newcastle are a club who are on the go and on the move but they are also in a perilous position right now.
“New manager. It’s important to get your spin right and the goalkeeper is the integral part of that. He should go and should go as soon as he possibly can.”

The Jose Mourinho seal of approval
There’s absolutely no doubt about the fact that Henderson is a talented goalkeeper. He may not be ready to displace David de Gea right now, but he is more than capable of being the first choice at most other clubs.
Mourinho, who managed him at Manchester United a few years ago, absolutely loves him. He admitted that he’s a big ‘Henderson fan’ and labelled the work he has done as ‘amazing’.
The AS Roma boss told TalkSport in the summer: “I am a Henderson fan.
“He has had incredible development. The loans were all very successful. The way United organised them I think United did amazing for him and he did amazing for himself. He has this arrogance in him, this trust and belief which I think an England goalkeeper needs.”
