'He is the guy': Arsenal fans want Ivan Toney signed after latest Brentford display

Ivan Toney might not have endeared himself to Arsenal fans in the last week or so, but he left Gunners fans under no illusions as to how good he is today.

The Brentford striker got himself on the scoresheet as the Bees ran out 2-0 winners at Wolves. He also added an assist as well, while he saw another effort ruled out by VAR.

Toney had commented on Arsenal in midweek. In those comments, he suggested that he knew when playing them on the opening day that the Bees would get chances in the game.

But, despite those comments, some Arsenal fans seem to have taken note of his performance today and are now calling for Mikel Arteta to make his move.

Certainly, Toney would be a good signing for the Gunners. Pace, power, and a proven goal record in the Championship, the Brentford man could well be worth a punt.

And that’s the feeling some Arsenal fans had on Toney today, with Twitter full of comments asking for the club to bring the striker in next summer.
