Who is the best player in the Championship?

That’s a tough question right now, especially as there’s so much talent in the division at the moment.

The likes of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Jack Clarke and Georginio Rutter all have potential claims to make for being the best player in the division.

However, speaking on the LS11 Podcast, Ben Parker has claimed that another Leeds United player is indeed the best in the division.

Leeds player is the Championship’s best

Speaking on the podcast, Parker claimed that Crysencio Summerville is the best player in the Championship, claiming that the winger is an incredible player who can produce moments of magic when they’re most needed.

“What a goal, he is the best player in the Championship is Cree, by far, not by far, but he is the best player, he can just produce that moment of magic when we needed it most,” Parker said.

Every year there’s a player in the Championship who’s just a class above.

Last season it was Viktor Gyokeres at Coventry, the year before it was Aleksandar Mitrovic at Fulham, and this time around, it’s been Crysencio Summerville.

Make no mistake about it, this is a Premier League player playing football in the second-tier.

The Dutchman has been electric all season long for Leeds United, and his rise almost makes you wonder why he wasn’t used more last season in the Premier League, especially as other young attackers such as Rutter and Wilfried Gnonto were afforded plenty of chances.

Whether or not Leeds are promoted this season remains to be seen, but Summerville’s performances in white this term have guaranteed that this will be a campaign to remember no matter what happens between now and the end of the season.
