Reported Spurs target, Paulo Dybala, has been criticised by Italian striker Antonio Cassano for failing to live up to expectations while at Juventus.
The Express claimed last month that Spurs had identified Dybala as a potential signing, with a £72m deal something the club were said to be considering. However, nothing has come of that news as yet, and given the fees involved, anything in January seems unlikely.

And Cassano, who enjoyed spells in a topsy-turvy career with the likes of Real Madrid and Roma, believes Dybala is almost running scared of the expectation and pressure on his shoulders at Juventus.
“All his coaches at Juventus did not consider him necessary, so I wonder if he is a champion or a great player. For me he is not a champion, he does not make the difference. He has scored good goals, like I saw [Antonio] Di Natale and [Lorenzo] Insigne do. But if you want to take Juventus’ No.10 shirt, you have to be at a higher level,” Cassno told Christian Vieri via his Twitch channel. (quotes via Goal)

Cassano, clearly not impressed with Dybala and his contract demands, went further on his mini rant, and had a blunt statement to describe how he sees Dybala.
“I have the feeling that, when they put pressure on him, he sh*ts himself! And then he asks for €10m per season? Oh, please!,” he added.

Everyone knows that Dybala has bags of ability but there is a recurring theme that comes every transfer window where Juventus seemingly consider selling him.
If he was that good, surely they’d just knock away any talk of him leaving? Of course, he’s still there, so maybe they do. But it does make you wonder if he’s failed to quite live up to the hype as Cassano hints at here.
