Arsenal are yet to lose a game in the Premier League this season, but despite their bright start to the campaign, there are questions being asked of the Gunners and Mikel Arteta.
Indeed, after a few shaky performances, some are starting to question whether or not Arteta actually knows what his best team is at Arsenal.
David Raya looks shaky between the sticks, while the midfield composition doesn’t quite look right with Jorginho in there.
Speaking on the Highbury Squad YouTube channel, Kevin Campbell has been discussing what Arsenal’s best XI actually looks like, and he made an interesting suggestion.
Indeed, Campbell said that Jurrien Timber may well be in Arsenal’s best XI when he’s fit, despite the fact he’s only played 50 minutes of league football for Arsenal this season.

Timber might be in Arsenal’s best XI
Campbell shared his verdict on the defender.
“If you’re talking about best XIs, Timber might play. Rice, Partey and Odegaard might be the midfield. That’s the changes from last season, potentially. I’m asking the question because Timber gives us both, the defensive toughness and that midfield role, I’m not saying he is Zinchenko in there, but he is effective in there, so is that our strongest XI?” Campbell asked.

Timber is promising
It’s easy to forget due to his injury in the game against Nottingham Forest, but Jurrien Timber was arguably Arsenal’s best player during pre-season.
The Dutchman was absolutely fantastic all across the backline, and there’s a reason he started the opening game of this campaign.
Arteta clearly rates him and has him down as being one of his better players, but, after such a severe injury, there’s, of course, no guarantee that he’ll return the same player.
Fingers crossed Timber can come back stronger than ever after his injury.
