'He has to play wide': Arteta hints £6m player won't be playing as a striker for Arsenal with Jesus out
Mikel Arteta has done a Monday Night Football special with Jamie Carragher where he spoke about Gabriel Martinelli.
Sky Sports have tweeted out a preview of the show, which will be fully shown later tonight, and it shows the Gunners boss speaking about Martinelli.
The £6 million man has been playing on the left wing for Arsenal this season, but his countryman Gabriel Jesus is now injured.
That has sparked talk that Martinelli could move inside to cover, especially if Arsenal end up signing a new winger during the January transfer window.

But in the clip, Arteta appears to suggest that Martinelli has to be used out wide to get the best out of him and get into position to score goals.
Arteta told Carragher: “To score more goals, Martinelli has to play in the last line and he has to play wide because of his quality.”
We will expect more insight from the Gunners manager when the full episode airs as Arsenal continue their preparations to return to action.
Arsenal were knocked out of the EFL Cup by Brighton before the World Cup so will not be in action during the last 16 this week.
That means they restart their season with a London derby against West Ham on Boxing Day, looking to keep their title charge going.
Arteta offered huge insight into his role and philosophy during the Amazon All or Nothing documentary and it seems we are set for more of the same in this latest in-depth interview.
