Former Liverpool defender, Kolo Toure, has pointed out what he believes to be the one weakness Virgil van Dijk has in his game.
Toure, who enjoyed spells in the Premier League with Arsenal, Man City, and Liverpool, is currently on the coaching staff at Leicester City, working with former boss, Brendan Rodgers.

The big Ivorian obviously keeps close tabs on his former club. And Toure has been speaking about Van Dijk, who was once again in imperious form for the Reds as they won the PL title for the first time.
But Toure, who played at centre-back himself, has found what he believes to be one flaw in Van Dijk’s game. (quotes via Goal)
“He’s a top player. He’s got speed, height, he can jump. He’s got the technique. He can switch the game with his long passes. He has got everything.
“I haven’t seen many players challenge him one on one. In my opinion, that’s his weakness! He’s really tall and if you really attack him with the ball, he can struggle. But he’s so clever.”
The comments from Toure suggest that he has been planning a way for Leicester to get the better of Van Dijk.

With Jamie Vardy as their main striker, it will be interesting to see if the Foxes do employ this sort of tactic next season when the teams meet.
Weakness is a big word, not many get by Van Dijk – TBR View
Toure has a point in that he suggests players could get at the Liverpool man with pace and some nifty movement and footwork.
But on the other hand, we’ve seen a lot of players try and fail. As Toure points out, Van Dijk is just so clever. His positional play is top-notch, while he is so strong that if anyone tries to outmuscle him, he wins out.
The Liverpool man is world-class. So while, in theory, Toure’s comments seem a simple task, rest assured, it’s not so easily done in practice!
