‘Having a mare’: Tottenham fans rip into Heung-Min Son after PSV win

Tottenham kept their Champions League hopes alive with a 2-1 win over PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday night – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter were critical of attacker Heung-Min Son for his performance.

Spurs produced a late comeback at Wembley against the Dutch outfit to mean they still have a chance of qualifying out of the competition’s group stages.

The North London club were behind after just two minutes when Luuk de Jong headed in from a corner, but stand-in captain Harry Kane eventually pulled back an equaliser in the second-half.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side went on to grab a winner in the 89th minute, as Australian Trent Sainsbury netted an own goal following a Kane header.

The Premier League outfit still have plenty of work to do if they want to qualify for the knockout rounds, but kept their aspirations alive for now.

A selection of Spurs fans on social media were not pleased with attacker Son for his contribution though and he was eventually taken off for Fernando Llorente, who assisted the Kane strike.

Winger Son has struggled to hit his best form so far this campaign and his only goals came in the Carabao Cup.

The 26-year-old once again struggled from the left flank and was unable to break through against a resilient PSV defence.
