Havertz would be Arsenal’s most exciting signing in years

Arsenal have been linked with a move for highly rated Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz.

As reported by Calciomercato, the Gunners have been monitoring the playmaker, who has been likened to fellow countryman and current Arsenal star Mesut Ozil.

The north Londoners are supposedly preparingto make an offer in the summer transfer window, having been impressed with his performances in the Bundesliga this term.

Havertz has scored 11 goals and made five assists so far this term in the league alone, and is playing a starrring role in Leverkusen’s push for Europe.

There’s every chance that, come the end of the season, Havertz wil not be short of other suitors if he continues in the same vein.

Potentially Arsenal’s most exciting signing in years

Havertz really does have a lot going for him.

The youngster is just 19 years of age but is already bearing down on his 100th appearance for the club.

Havertz has firmly established himself at one of the better sides in a top five league in Europe, and has also been scoring and assisting in the Europa League.

He is a technically gifted player, capable of using both feet.

He does everything generally very well, and his 6ft 2in frame would certainly help him with the physicality of the Premier League.

Arsenal have made some exciting signings in recent years; Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette perhaps the two most recent.

Ozil was a major coup back in 2013, but perhaps the latest German target’s vast potential makes him an even more exciting signing than those already established stars.
