Coveted PSV Eindhoven winger Hirving Lozano has reportedly agreed a deal to join Napoli this summer.
Corriere dello Sport (via Calciomercato) report that the Serie A outfit have finally come to an arrangement over the Mexico international, weeks after trying to secure a discount.
A meeting was held recently over the player, who is represented by super-agent Mino Raiola, and the talks appear to have been successful. Corriere say a €40 million (£34 million) fee has been agreed.
Lozano has been hot property for some time now after joining PSV in the summer of 2017.
This season he has stepped things up a level, making 40 appearances and scoring 21 goals. He has also made 12 assists.
The latest on Lozano woud suggest that Tottenham Hotpsur may have missed the boat over the forward, who starred for his country at last summer’s World Cup.
Spurs were linked with a move for Lozano, with The Mirror reporting in October that club scouts had been sent to check him out post-Russia.
The Mirror’s report stated that Lozano was valued as little as £25 million.
It might no longer matter to Tottenham what the player is worth if reports of a summer move to Napoli are to be believed.
If Lozano goes to Italy it will be a missed opportunity for Spurs who need fresh impetus in the wide areas. The 23-year-old has frightening pace and is extremely skilful.
