Aston Villa fans have praised Leon Bailey after the Villans Twitter account shared a video of the 24-year-old in training ahead of the Chelsea match.

Bailey joined Villa in the summer for a reported £30million fee, and arrived at Villa Park to much fanfare.

The Jamaica international registered an impressive 39 goals and 26 assists in 156 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen.

Due to fitness issues, Bailey has got just 30 minutes under his belt for Villa, though he still notched up an assist.

The winger set up John McGinn for his 70th-minute goal in the 3-2 Premier League opening-day defeat at Watford.

“He’s had a good 10 days training so, we won’t build him up too much because he needs to find his feet in the Premier League but I’m sure from what I’ve seen so far it won’t take too long,” Dean Smith said yesterday.

Villa face Chelsea on Saturday evening and, in the absence of Emiliano Buendia, Bailey looks likely to start.
