A number of Celtic fans have been discussing the latest transfer reports suggesting Hoops winger Marian Shved could leave Parkhead on loan once again.
According to The Scottish Sun, the Ukraine international is wanted by former club Karpaty Lviv.
The Glasgow Times, meanwhile, claimed Shved wouldn’t consider another loan return there, instead targeting a switch to a higher level if he does more anywhere.
There is understood to be interest in the 22-year-old from clubs in the Bundesliga and the top league in Belgium, added the outlet.
Shved barely got a look in at Celtic under Neil Lennon last season, with just three first-team appearances – all off the bench.
He was signed by Brendan Rodgers shortly before he quit Celtic for Leicester City, the player subsequently seeing out the season on loan back at Karpaty Lviv.
Therefore, there were high hopes amongst fans that Shved would be able to make an impact for the defending treble Treble champions.
However, things have not gone to plan, with just 40 minutes of first team action under his belt (Transfermarkt).
Here is what some Celtic fans on social media have made of the latest speculation around the rarely-seen talent:
Allowing him to return to his old club in Ukraine. To my mind, shows Celtic have given up on him.
If we were serious about developing him then a loan similar to Ajer’s would be the answer. Keep him close to home. Adapting further to the Scottish game. Continuing to learn language

Let’s be honest, Lenny wouldn’t drop Forrest for Messi, it’s just unfortunate for Shved that Forrest plays in his position & that Lenny is his manager. Shved is a better player than Forrest, better technique, first touch, control, awareness, skill, shooting, passing etc.

This guy has got to go on loan here if hes not going to get a chance. Not saying hes as good as Robert’s but no coincidence Forrest played better with someone pushing him. For me he has to be given a chance

Remember Bobby Petta’s first season he was utter rubbish but settled in and was more than decent.

He stayed in Glasgow and supposedly working on his English. If he shows up and gets a chance he will save us money. Think back to Rogic we all heard the same got his chance never looked back. Can’t say he’s failed until he gets a run.

Just can’t see it, ideally a prem club. If its true that language and settling is a problem then loan him to top flight club like Hibs or something, First team football will help, he’s a cracking player
