The Future Of Walcott At Arsenal

As an increasing weight of pressure builds on Arsenal this season, Walcott is fast becoming a key member of the squad. The expectations will be for him to lead the attack with Giroud and help get the goals which could land the Gunners more silverware.

Let’s not forget about England either. To this day, he remains the youngest ever player to score in a competitive match, and get a hat-trick for the Three Lions. If Walcott gets to Euro 2016 while fit and firing I wonder if it will improve their chances of winning? With 81 goals in 325 appearances for Arsenal, it’s far from doom and gloom, considering he is still only 26 and perhaps reaching his peak.

I think it is about time we give him the benefit of the doubt. It won’t be long in my opinion before he hits a bucket-load of goals for Arsenal and perhaps joins some of the greats of years gone by at the Clock End, with the likes of Ian Wright and Thierry Henry currently occupying that hero status.
