Isak injury news

The Daily Mail’s Craig Hope reports that Isak has now left the Sweden training camp due to an injury.

The Magpies striker will now miss their Nations League clashes over the next week.

It’s unclear what type of injury Isak has suffered but Newcastle fans will be hoping that it isn’t too serious.

The former Real Sociedad man has got off to a brilliant start at St James’ Park and it would be a big blow if he were to be sidelined for a lengthy period of time.

Isak has already bagged two goals in three games for Eddie Howe’s men and has looked a real threat.

It will also be a huge blow for Howe as Callum Wilson was recently sidelined with a hamstring injury.

But the Shields Gazette states that Wilson should be back after the international break and could have featured against Bournemouth last weekend.

Howe will be hoping Isak’s injury isn’t too serious, especially with Wilson only just working his way back to full fitness.

Newcastle travel to Fulham after the international break and will be looking to get back to winning ways after drawing their last two games.
