Jurgen Klopp appears to have offered an indication that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita and Takumi Minamino won’t be leaving Liverpool this summer on the club’s official website.
Staying around?
The three Liverpool players all went into the summer with question marks over their futures at Anfield.
However, they have all enjoyed excellent pre-seasons where they have featured prominently.
And Klopp’s words suggest that the trio could all stick around at Liverpool now, despite reported interest from other clubs.
“I think Ox played in six pre-season games, was part of it, Taki probably as well,” he said.
“You can see then how much it means. The same for yesterday when you think about Naby, it’s the same for him – that it’s very important.
“That’s what you need and now we have a proper situation and with how it looked tonight, come on, make the line-up for Norwich. Who do you want to leave out after these two games? That’s how it should be, the boys had to put pressure on themselves with the performances they put on the pitch and that’s what you wish for in an ideal world.
“Hopefully they can all stay fit and they can put for the whole season pressure on each other in a very positive way – who wants to play has to play like we did today or in yesterday in moments.”

It is interesting to hear Klopp talking about having all three players for a ‘whole season’ to put pressure on.
Last chance?
It could be that Oxlade-Chamberlain, Minamino and Keita are all in the last chance saloon if they do stick around at Liverpool, though.
Oxlade-Chamberlain and Keita have struggled to stay fit, while Minamino has been unable to force his way into Liverpool’s line-up since signing.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has actually been linked with a move to West Ham United recently in the Daily Express, but that move appears unlikely to take place after these latest comments.
And it would not be a surprise if any of the trio were used on opening day against Norwich City, after enjoying such strong pre-seasons.
