On-loan Arsenal forward Folarin Balogun has enjoyed a brilliant start to the season at Stade Reims.

Balogun already has six league goals for the Ligue 1 side in ten appearances.

His Stade Reims side are currently hovering just above the relegation zone and are in poor form.

However, Balogun and his teammates came away with a fantastic result yesterday when they played against PSG.

Paris Saint-Germain are unsurprisingly on top in Ligue 1, and are unbeaten so far this season.

They couldn’t defeat Balogun’s side though, dropping points for only the second time this campaign in a 0-0 draw.

Although Balogun didn’t get on the score sheet, he can be very proud of him and his side’s performance.

In fact, it was the first time since March that PSG have failed to score in a league game.

After the game, Balogun took to Instagram to celebrate the result.

He posted a picture of him battling with Neymar, with the caption: “Come on Reims!”

His England under-21 teammate Harvey Elliott reacted to his post, simply saying: “Big”

The pair have played together on three times for the Young Lions, winning on each occasion.

They were both part of the squad that travelled to the Under-21 European Championships last summer and will know each other well.

The ‘incredible’ Balogun’s performances have turned some heads at The Emirates.

A report from Jeunes Footeux suggests Mikel Arteta is keen to extend Balogun’s contract.

He’s caught the attention of club legend Thierry Henry too, who was ‘really happy’ to see him make the move to France.

The 21-year-old has plenty of time left with Stade Reims this season to continue accumulating first-team minutes.

Balogun will also play against PSG in the reverse fixture later in the season, and will be hoping to get on the scoresheet next time.

However, he’s now faced his biggest test in France, and come away from it with a point.
