Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has been praised by a number of peers, including Liverpool gem Harvey Elliott, after the Gunners youngster was named Young Player of the Year at the London Football Awards.
The 19-year-old winger saw off strong competition from Mason Mount, Declan Rice, Emile Smith Rowe and Reece James to land the accolade at a virtual ceremony on Tuesday night.
Saka has been sensational since making his first-team breakthrough last season, quickly becoming one of the first names on Mikel Arteta’s teamsheet.

In his maiden first-team campaign, he clocked up 39 appearances in all competitions, weighing in with four goals and 11 assists.
And this term, Saka has gone from strength to strength, making 40 Arsenal appearances, with seven goals and eight assists under his belt, and also establishing himself in the England setup.
He shared a post on Instagram in which he held the trophy, and his victory was lauded by a number of fellow players, with Elliott writing “congrats brother” and Joe Willock writing “God’s work.

Arsenal are next in action on Thursday when they face Unai Emery’s Villarreal in the Europa League semi-final first leg.
