Harvey Elliott has probably perfectly conveyed on Instagram how a lot of Liverpool fans are feeling right now as the youngster sent a message to Andy Robertson following the injury he sustained in yesterday’s friendly with Athletic Bilbao.
The Reds drew 1-1 with the Spanish side at Anfield in their penultimate fixture of pre-season. But the result paled into insignificance due to what happened just before the break.

Robertson had to be helped from the field during the first-half. The Scot twisted his ankle.
Jurgen Klopp confirmed after the game that it was too soon to say how serious the problem was. But obviously, with the new Premier League season just around the corner, it could be a huge blow for the champions of 2020.

Robertson took to social media following the game. And while he insisted that he is choosing to stay positive, it was clear that a lot remains up in the air right now.
Unsurprisingly, several teammates were amongst those to send messages of support to the 27-year-old.
And it was Elliott – who shone in the game – who probably hit the nail on the head regarding how most feel…

Liverpool will desperately hope Robertson injury is not a sign of what is to come this season
It was staggering just how many key players Liverpool lost to injury last season.
The good news is Virgil van Dijk played the large majority of yesterday’s game.
But the concern will now be Liverpool enduring anything like the luck they had to deal with last season.
Losing Robertson for any significant period of time would be a huge setback to Klopp’s side.
So it would be a massive boost if the updates that emerge in the coming days prove to be positive.
