Harvey Elliott posts on Instagram after PL debut, Liverpool stars make prediction

Harvey Elliott has posted on Instagram after making his Premier League debut for Liverpool on Thursday night during the 2-0 win over Sheffield United – and both James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have replied with predictions.

Elliott, 16, made his fourth senior appearance for Liverpool on Thursday night as Jurgen Klopp’s men earned a comfortable victory. Both Sadio Mane and Mo Salah got their names on the score sheet, finding the back of the net either side of half-time.

Teenage star Elliott joined Liverpool last summer from Fulham, after the England youth international made two senior appearances for the Cottagers in the Premier League last season. He has gone on to become one of Liverpool’s best young stars.

Elliot was named on the bench for a Premier League match for the fourth time this season on Thursday, and got the call from Klopp to replace goalscorer Salah in the 92nd minute. The youngster posted on Instagram after the match.

Elliott has played every single minute of Liverpool’s Carabao Cup campaign this season, starting and finishing the wins over MK Dons and Arsenal – before failing to help his side prevent a huge 5-0 defeat to Aston Villa.

For Liverpool’s Under-23’s and UEFA Youth League side, Elliott has clocked up 17 appearances and created six goals – as well as scoring three of his own. Oxlade-Chamberlain and Milner have predicted that there are more first-team outings to come.
