Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks has become an important first-team player under manager Mauricio Pochettino and is a real success story to come out of the academy.
The 22-year-old England international is the deep-lying playmaker in the side and there are shades of ex-Spurs ace Michael Carrick in his game.
Carrick is most recognised for his incredible playing career with Manchester United, but he did enjoy a two-year spell with Spurs before making the switch to Old Trafford.
The 37-year-old is one of the finest central midfielders England has produced in the last couple of decades and he’s got the silverware to prove it.
Carrick was a midfielder that oozed class with his comfort in possession, while his intelligence and range of passing helped build attacks from the back.
Spurs fans saw the early stages of his career and may now have a new version of Carrick in their ranks.

Winks still has a mammoth way to go if he wants to be talked about in the same way as Carrick, but there are certainly huge similarities in their game and style of play.
Winks is beginning to show he can make a real impact in the final third by passing into dangerous areas and it’s extremely rare he will lose the ball in doing so.
He offers a major control on the pitch when he plays and he did just that recently during England’s win over Spain.
