Harry Redknapp says Spurs have an 'absolute gem' in their ranks, he's 'amazing'
Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been praised by Harry Redknapp in wake of widespread media speculation linking the Spurs talisman with a summer move.
Kane has enjoyed another outstanding campaign, registering 32 goals and 16 assists in all competitions, with 22 goals and 13 assists coming in the Premier League.
However, Spurs will once again finish the season empty-handed, the north Londoners’ major trophy drought stretching 13 years and counting.
In addition, Tottenham can no longer qualify for the Champions League, with fourth-placed Leicester seven points ahead with two games left for Spurs to play.
According to Sky Sports, the England captain has told his club that he wants to leave this summer.
Meanwhile, talkSPORT has reported that Kane is unhappy with the lack of trophies won by the club during his time there.
It’s not taken long for the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United have been linked with the 27-year-old’s services.
Redknapp discussed what Kane could offer to a prospective suitor while also singing the player’s praises.
“I would think if you wanted to win trophies you’d have to go to Man City or Liverpool,” he told talkSPORT.
“They’d be the two, but he could turn Manchester United into title winners.
“He’s that good, with the goals he’d bring, they wouldn’t be far off it. They weren’t far off it this year.
“He’s going to be a great signing for somebody. He’s a great lad, fantastic professional, an absolute gem to work with.
“He just gets on with it, he’s a great trainer and would be amazing to have at your football club.”
