Harry Redknapp has told the Daily Star that he believes West Ham United captain Mark Noble can become the club’s manager in the future, as he remains a one-club man.
The 31-year-old has clocked up an enormous 461 league and cup appearances for the Hammers. He also signed a new contract extension earlier this season, keeping the skipper at the club until the summer of 2021.
Other than two loan spells at Ipswich Town and Hull City, the 20-time England Under-21 international has only ever played for West Ham. He has failed to win a cap for England, despite captaining the Hammers for years.
Former West Ham boss Redknapp believes Noble can replace Pellegrini in the future, given that he is West Ham through and through. The current boss has two years remaining on his enormous £192,000-a-week deal (Independent).

“Noble’s the only one I can relate to there, he’s a West Ham boy through and through. He’s a massive part of the club,” Redknapp said. “Noble’s the type of lad they should move Heaven and Earth to keep him at the club.
“For me, there’s a future manager of West Ham sitting on their books right there. I’d like to see him go on the coaching staff and eventually one day become the manager, why shouldn’t he?”
TBR’s view
Still only 31, Noble will believe he has many years left in his playing career. Whether that is at West Ham, remains to be seen. The midfielder may not last at the Hammers beyond the summer of 2021.
If he is to prolong his playing career, the likelihood is that he may have to join another side. But the opportunity of returning to the Hammers as a coach will always be there.
So, the manager’s role is hardly out of the question. Steven Gerrard has taken over at Rangers with a view to becoming Liverpool boss, Frank Lampard and John Terry have already been linked to the Chelsea role.
