Harry Redknapp has raved about the qualities of Tottenham centre-forward Harry Kane and believes he’s the the perfect role model.

The striker has continued his imperious form for Spurs this season by scoring 24 goals in 36 games across all competitions and has now linked up with the England squad for the international break.

He is captain of Gareth Southgate’s team and a senior player within the group, with many regarding him as the best in the squad too.

Redknapp has hailed Kane as the overall package and even made a significant comparison with England’s World Cup-winning captain Bobby Moore.

Defender Moore is remembered as a West Ham and England icon, which is why the Kane comparison to a footballing great is quite remarkable.

“Just a class act. On the field, off the field, class act. People used to say that about Bobby Moore, what a captain and leader and Harry is the same,” Redknapp told Sky Sports.

“Perfect role model. Gets on with football, trains hard and works hard. Never see anything bad about him, top, top player.”

Kane still has a long way to go in his career given he is aged just 25, but he’s certainly on the right path to greatness and is one of the best strikers around.

He’s already chalked up 164 senior goals in a Spurs shirt and he’s showing no signs of slowing down, while he captained England to the World Cup semi-finals last summer.

There will be question marks over him until he starts winning silverware and the North London club will hope their move to a new stadium can help bring that.

Redknapp is well aware of Kane’s qualities after watching him come through the Spurs youth ranks and a comparison with Moore shouldn’t be made lightly.
