Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp has been speaking about the club ahead of the new Premier League season and has stated his belief over a player who might turn the club back into title challengers.
The former Spurs boss was discussing one of his former players, as he made it clear Gareth Bale would be a game-changing addition to the Tottenham first-team.
“Of the possible destinations, if Bale went back to Tottenham to team up with an already lively frontline you could see Spurs do some serious damage,” Redknapp wrote in The Sun. “Harry Kane, Son Heung-min, Dele Alli and Bale. If it were my call, I’d throw all four of them on together and step back to watch lift-off.
“Bale could change Tottenham from European contenders to Premier League title challengers.”
Bale is currently at Real Madrid but his future at the Spanish side looks bleak. The Welshman has been cut out of the first-team picture by Zinedine Zidane and has spent more time on the golf course than on the pitch at the Bernabeu in recent weeks.

His situation saw the 31-year-old recently comment on his future, admitting he would love to return to England and that he tried to leave Real Madrid last summer.
Undoubtedly, the idea of Bale joining Tottenham’s attacking line is a frightening one but his performance for Wales this week certainly highlighted how much his lack of first-team football has impacted his performances.
If Tottenham were to bring him back, they are likely not to get the same man who was tearing the Premier League apart under the management of Andre Villas-Boas.
But Redknapp seems fairly certain that the former world-record club might just be the key to getting Tottenham back on the title trail.
