Newcastle United travel to Leicester City on Friday night for a Premier League game and will be hoping they can take another step towards safety with a positive result.
The Magpies sit seven points clear of 18th-placed Cardiff with five games remaining and it may only take another win to get them over the line.
Rafael Benitez’s team have lost their last two fixtures though and need to try respond away at a Leicester outfit that have won four on the spin.
Foxes defender Harry Maguire has offered high praise to Newcastle striker Salomon Rondon ahead of the game, where the duo could be directly up against each other.
“Yes, he’s (Rondon) a handful, extremely strong, great physical attributes, he’s got an eye for a goal as well, so we know whoever’s playing in defence will be in for a battle come the end of the game,” Maguire said, as quoted by the club’s official Twitter account.
“It’s going to be an exciting challenge for us, but one that were are relishing.”
Rondon has been a huge reason behind Newcastle’s success this season, as he’s hit the ground running at St James’ Park since he joined on loan from West Brom.
The 29-year-old has experienced in the English top flight and offers a great physical presence at striker.
He’s a goal machine too with 10 goals and five assists in just 28 games across all competition this season.
Rondon will need to be on his A-game if he’s to get the better of England internatonal Maguire and it could be a fascinating battle in the air between the centre-forward and centre-back.
