Harry Kewell has told Sky Sports debate podcast (November 27) that losing Fabinho is a “big loss” for Liverpool after the midfielder was substituted in the first half of the 1-1 draw with Napoli on Wednesday night.
Fabinho, 26, has become absolutely crucial to Liverpool since his £39million move (BBC) to Anfield from Monaco in the summer of 2018. He has since clocked up 60 appearances in all competitions.
The Brazil international started against Napoli on Wednesday night, alongside James Milner and Jordan Henderson. But the midfielder picked up a knock and was replaced by Gini Wijnaldum after 19 minutes
Former Liverpool star Kewell was asked about Fabinho’s injury and he believes that although the loss of the colossal midfielder is a big one for Liverpool with Christmas approaching, he believes The Reds have plenty of cover.
