Harry Kane would’ve told England players about Hugo Lloris’ weaknesses – Graeme Souness

Graeme Souness has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane would’ve pointed out Hugo Lloris‘ weaknesses and shortcomings to his England teammates and coaches ahead of the game against France tonight.

The Three Lions face their biggest test of this World Cup this evening. France are the defending champions and many people’s pick to win it again this year. England, however, are more than capable of hurting Les Bleus, especially if Kane steps up.

The most-talked-about player ahead of the game tonight is Kylian Mbppe.

The PSG superstar has scored five goals already in this World Cup, and he will arguably be the most dangerous player on the pitch. If he has a great game, he will guide France to victory, but Didier Deschamps’ men have their weaknesses too.

One of them, according to Souness, is Lloris.

The pundit claimed that he has never really been a fan of the Tottenham goalkeeper, and he thinks Kane would’ve pointed out Lloris’ shortcomings to all of his England teammates to exploit ahead of the game tonight.

He wrote in his column for The Daily Mail: “I’ve never been an enormous fan of Hugo Lloris. When I watch him play, he does something which top goalkeepers don’t do, by diving for a ball that is heading two yards wide of the post.

“That’s a sure sign that he’s not quite sure of his angles a lot of the time. I’m sure Harry Kane has pointed out his Spurs team-mate’s shortcomings to England’s coaching staff and players.”

Lloris has been a great servant for Tottenham and the France national team, but it has to be said that he has a mistake in him.

The Frenchman saves Spurs numerous times in a season but also costs them points as well. That’s the reason why Antonio Conte is reportedly looking to replace him in one of the next two transfer windows. (90min)

If anyone knows Lloris’ mistakes, it’s Kane, who has faced him thousands of times over the years at Tottenham’s training ground.

It will be interesting to see if he and England’s other players can exploit that tonight.
