Report: Harry Kane would consider swapping Tottenham for Manchester United

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane would be keen on a move to Manchester United during the summer, according to Goal.

Jose Mourinho is set for an extensive rebuild of his squad and it is thought that Kane isn’t keen on being a part of it.

Having reached the Champions League Final last season, Kane clearly views the rebuild as a step backwards to eventually move forward and at 26, he seems keen to move elsewhere.

Kane has fired 181 goals for Tottenham and is unlikely to be short of potential suitors.

Spurs lost Christian Eriksen in January and losing Kane just a transfer window later would represent a catastrophic blow.

The hotshot is currently out injured with a torn hamstring and in his absence, Tottenham are struggling for goals.

After last night’s FA Cup exit at the hands of Norwich City, Mourinho knows he must go back to basics and get Spurs winning games again.

He would dearly love to have Kane back within his ranks; although his return looks some way off yet.

The England captain has 32 goals in 45 games for the Three Lions and he will hope to be fit for Euro 2020.

Manchester United added Bruno Fernandes to their squad during the January window and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will continue his rebuilding in the summer.

Jack Grealish has been on his radar but developments on Kane’s future could alert him to turn his attention elsewhere.

United have struggled to replace Romelu Lukaku this season and desperately need to add a striker during the summer.

For Tottenham, it could prove an uncertain time. Some reports have suggested that Mourinho might have just £50 million to spend.
