Tottenham Hotspur have been left with a striker conundrum after they were hit with a double blow in the same week.
Son Heung-Min played his last game on Sunday before heading to the Asia Cup before news emerged that Harry Kane is out injured until March.
This leaves Mauricio Pochettino with a genuine selection dilemma when selecting his striker options.
According to talkSPORT, Tottenham have held an emergency meeting to discuss contingency plans during Kane’s absence.
And as well as identifying loan signings, the possibility of promotion academy starlet Troy Parrott has been discussed.
The 16-year-old is very young but he has been included in first-team training already and has even travelled to Premier League matches with the team as a 19th man.

Parrott predominantly plays for the under-18 and under-19 teams at Tottenham and he has been in sensational form.
The talented teenager has scored nine goals and picked up three assists in six matches for the under-18 side. And for the under-19 team in the UEFA Youth League, Parrott has netted three goals – coming against Barcelona, Inter Milan and PSV.
Parrott is yet to find the net in six outings for the under-23 side but he could be promoted to the first-team soon.
But he has the potential to cut it at the highest level. And the Irish youngster could get a chance sooner than he expects with Kane out injured.
If he impresses, that could be the making of his career. But even if he struggles, time is on Parrott’s side.
