Harry Kane finds two words to describe Bukayo Saka after seeing his display for England yesterday

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has found two words to describe Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka after seeing his display for England yesterday.

Saka put in a brilliant performance for the Three Lions as he justified Gareth Southagte’s decision to hand him a start against Iran.

The Gunners winger bagged a goal either side of half-time and finished the game with an excellent brace.

The 21-year-old has been in breathtaking form for Arsenal this season under Mikel Arteta and now looks set to enjoy a brilliant World Cup campaign.

Kane didn’t get on the scoresheet yesterday as England thrashed Iran 6-2 but did provide two assists before being taken off in the 76th minute.

And the England captain has now said that Saka was ‘on fire’ yesterday in a video on his Twitter page

Speaking after yesterday’s win, Kane praised the England team for getting off to an impressive start to their campaign in Qatar.

He also congratulated Jude Bellingham and praised Saka for getting amongst the goals.

“Hello everyone, obviously a really good start to the World Cup campaign. Full credit to the boys, you know it’s never easy getting off to a winning start in a major tournament,” he said in a video on his Twitter account

“To score six goals shows we’re in a really good place. Still a lot of work to do of course, we know that there’s a long way to go. But overall, really pleasing.

“Congrats to Jude [Bellingham] for his first England goal, no better place to do it. Bukayo [Saka] on fire with two great finishes.

“Yeah, everyone out there today done their country proud and we move on to the next one now.”

Saka has formed an excellent understanding with both Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus at club level this season.

And the youngster linked up brilliantly with Kane and Raheem Sterling for England yesterday.

The winger’s first goal was a brilliant finish on the half-volley after Harry Maguire headed the ball down from a corner.

He then showed composure for his second of the game, as he waited for the right time to shoot before calmly placing the ball past the Iran goalkeeper.

Saka will be delighted to grab two goals on his World Cup debut and he now looks set to start against USA on Friday after a breathtaking display.
