Jack Harrison has told BBC Radio Leeds that it has been incredible to have Jesse Marsch come in at Leeds United, and shared what the first thing the squad noticed about the new boss was.
The jury is still out on Marsch amongst the Leeds fanbase with only one game under his belt. However, there is certainly a lot of optimism that he could prove to be an inspired appointment.

Certainly, he has won a lot of supporters with his demeanour. He has made no attempt to force the fans to move on from club icon Marcelo Bielsa. Instead, he has expressed his hope that he can create his own legacy at Elland Road.
Leeds did not get off to the ideal start in his first game in charge. They were beaten 1-0 by Leicester City at the weekend. However, they looked a lot better defensively. And they created more than enough chances to win.

It certainly appears that Marsch has had a positive impact on the Leeds squad. Harrison was full of praise for the American following his appointment.
“That was one of the first things we noticed, how he’s able to communicate really well with players and understand the players’ ambitions and feelings, and just have a positive outlook,” he told BBC Radio Leeds.
“It’s been incredible to have him in, he’s had a really positive impact and made a really, really good first impression.
He’s got everyone excited again and he’s motivating everybody in the right direction.”
Harrison comments suggest Leeds made smart call appointing Marsch whatever happens
Harrison was one of the players whose desire could never be questioned during the latter stages of Marcelo Bielsa’s tenure. Their form was poor. But the squad remained committed to what Bielsa wanted.
So the winger’s comments perhaps highlight that a change was needed for all parties. He sounds somewhat reinvigorated with the arrival of Marsch at Leeds.
And his praise of the new head coach suggest that Leeds made a smart choice. Appointing Bielsa’s successor was always going to be a daunting task.
Obviously, the decision will be questioned should Leeds fail to stay up. But it does appear that Marsch is the kind of boss who could ultimately take the Whites forward, however long it ultimately takes.
