Newcastle United-owned right-back Harrison Ashby has given his verdict on the performance of Lewis Miley against Fulham at St. James’ Park.

So, what has been said about Newcastle United midfielder Lewis Miley? Let’s take a look.

Praise for Newcastle United midfielder Lewis Miley vs Fulham

Well, Newcastle United beat Fulham 3-0 at St. James’ Park in the Premier League on Saturday.

Fulham went down to 10 men midway through the first half when Raul Jimenez was sent off for a dangerous, jumping challenge into Sean Longstaff, which caught him in the face.

Lewis Miley scored for Eddie Howe’s side in the 57th minute. He found the back of the net with a low shot past Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno.

Miley came on as a substitute in the 36th minute when he replaced Joelinton.

As you can see, Harrison Ashby was impressed by the display produced by Miley. Ashby is on loan at Swansea City from Newcastle at the moment.

Miley has been on the books of Newcastle since he was seven. He is now the club’s youngest Premier League goalscorer.

Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Michael Dawson was following the match for Sky Sports News, and he was impressed with Miley as well.

Dawson said on Sky Sports News (4:22 pm, December 16, 2023): “It is a fantastic finish. What a moment for this young man.

“He has been absolutely magnificent from start to finish, since he has come onto the pitch, since he has broken into the team, and it is 1-0 Newcastle.”

Impressive stats

Miley has made five starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Newcastle this season.

The midfielder has scored one goal and given one assist in those games. The teenager has provided one assist in three UEFA Champions League games for Eddie Howe’s side.
