Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah could end up staying at the club after all, despite interest from West Ham and Nottingham Forest this month.
Chalobah is down the pecking order under Mauricio Pochettino after initially looking like being a key player in Chelsea’s future when he initially broke through.

Clubs like West Ham are thought to have made enquiries to sign him this window. Indeed, it’s even been claimed that Chalobah would love to leave Stamford Bridge, albeit a £25m asking-price has been putting clubs off this winter.
And now, according to journalist Ben Jacobs, the likelihood of Chalobah leaving before the deadline seems unlikely. Taking to X to provide the update, Jacobs claims that Chalobah is now happy to stay at Chelsea and wait for the right offer.
Chalobah needs a move
You can appreciate Trevoh Chalobah not wanting to rush anything here but surely a loan move this month is better than nothing at all?
At the moment, he isn’t playing any football and while building fitness up until the summer is all well and good, nothing can beat playing games.
It’s a bit of a shame to see how Chalobah’s stock has fallen really. Sure, clubs do seem keen on him but he was, at one point, looking like Chelsea’s future top defender.
Now though, it seems he’s going to find a move elsewhere and have to start again the summer in terms of rebuilding his career.
If a loan move can be done this month with a decent club, then really, Chalobah should be trying to make it happen.
