'Hands down top 5': Romelu Lukaku raves about Aston Villa player
Aston Villa completed the signing of Ashley Young last week.
And Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku admits he will miss the 35-year-old.
Indeed, the Belgium star says Young is in his top five teammates of all time.
The Villans signed the England ace on a free transfer after he left the Nerazzurri.
Young penned a one-year deal with the option of a further one-year extension, according to Sky Sports.
Young played in claret and blue between 2007 and 2011, clocking up 190 appearances.
He then left Villa and joined Manchester United for £17m, making over 250 appearances for the Red Devils.
Young subsequently left Old Trafford in 2020 and joined Inter, where he won the Serie A title last season.
On Wednesday, former Inter teammate Lukaku hosted a Q&A on Twitter.
When asked whether he’ll miss Young, he replied: “Yes I will! Hands down top 5 teammates of all time.”
Aston Villa ace told agent: “Get a deal done”
“It feels amazing to be back, it feels like I’ve not left,” Young told the Villa media team, via Sky Sports.
“You can see how much the club has evolved since my time and I’m just ready to get down to work now.
“When I heard of the interest from Aston Villa, it was straight to my agent ‘get a deal done, whatever you can, get a deal done.’
“Watching from afar, seeing the squad, how well they did last season, how well they’ve been doing.
“The staff, the manager, how the players want to play for him; they’ve got that hunger, he’s got that desire, that winning mentality.
“And, for me, I know I’ve got that winning mentality.”
