Matuesz Klich scored a sensational brace for Leeds United on Saturday afternoon as Marcelo Bielsa’s men made it five straight league wins with a convincing 4-0 victory over Middlesbrough – and Hadi Sacko has sent a message to the Polish ace.
Prior to Saturday’s match, 29-year-old Klich had managed just one Championship goal despite starting all 18 league games. He was given another start against Boro, and he scored two excellent goals – taking his tally to three in the league.
Patrick Bamford gave Leeds the lead against his old side with a header in the third minute, before Klich scored the first of his two goals – his shot deflecting past Aynsley Pears. Helder Costa then blasted Leeds 3-0 ahead.
But it was Leeds’ fourth – and Klich’s second – that was the best of the lot. Receiving the ball on the edge of the box from a short corner, Klich curled an effort beyond Pears into the top corner. Sacko responded on Twitter, after netting a brace himself.
Sacko, who left Leeds in the summer on a permanent basis to join Turkish Super Lig side Denizlispor, also scored a brace over the weekend. It was his first goals for his new side in the league, earning a 2-1 win for his side over Gaziantep FK.
Many Whites fans have responded on Twitter to Sacko’s Tweet to Klich, with many applauding their former winger and stating that they miss him. Some Leeds fans even encouraged Sacko to return to Elland Road. Klich himself also responded.
