Everton are reportedly among the clubs keen on bringing John Stones in this summer, according to the Sun, and Toffees fans have been reacting to the news on Twitter.

The 26-year-old seems to have fallen down the pecking order at Man City, with Pep Guardiola opting to select other players ahead of the England man on a frequent basis.

And now, despite signing for a fee of over £47m (BBC), it looks like City are preparing to sell the defender.

It is believed, too, that Stones is willing to make a move away from The Etihad. His lack of game time will hinder his chances of a Euros place with England next summer, so he’ll need to move somewhere that offers him minutes.

Arsenal are also thought to be keen on him but it is the Everton fans who seem to have been most vocal about a potential return to the club for their former star.
