Everton playmaker Gylfi Sigurdsson has shared that manager Marco Silva is very “direct” as manager and he can always be found around the club.
The Portuguese boss is not quite enjoying the best first year at Goodison Park in charge, with his team 11th in the Premier League table and they have probably left it too late to make a charge towards the European spots.
The Merseyside club went all out to prize Silva away from Watford and he arrived at the Toffees with huge expectancy.
He’s not quite managed to influence his attacking brand of football despite glimpses and overall inconsistency has been the theme of the season.
But Everton’s attacking midfielder Sigurdsson has spoken out about his manager with some kind words and detailed his direct style with the squad.
“I feel a lot of trust and belief from the manager, I get on very well with him. I enjoy working with him,” Sigurdsson told the Mirror.
“He takes the job seriously. He’s direct with the players. He’s always here. There’s never been a time when I’ve come in or left the training ground and his car’s not been here.”

TBR’s View:
Everton are definitely underachieving this season with their current crop of players and it’s been a transition year for Silva.
It appears like the manager does have most of his players on side and the club need to stand by their appointment by giving him time to make his mark.
The summer transfer window coming up is going to be a pivotal moment for Silva to add a few more quality players and the goal next year has to be to qualify for Europe.
Sigurdsson is one of the leading players within the squad that is enjoying life under Silva and that’s a good sign.
