Newcastle United midfielder has repeated his intention to leave the club in the summer transfer window, The Chronicle reports from Saturday’s programme notes.
Hayden has tried to force an exit in the past two transfer windows to move closer to his family. But a move has never materialised.
The central midfielder has remained professional and has recently been recalled to the starting line-up for Newcastle and has performed impressively.
But despite his recent resurgence, the former Arsenal man still wants to leave St James’ Park at the end of this season.

In the programme notes (via The Chronicle), Hayden said: “I think I’ve made it very clear to the club’s hierarchy and the fans. I’ve got my side of the story out – I’ve made it pretty clear how things go.
“I don’t think there’ll be many questions. I don’t think summer’s going to be an issue. It’s pretty well documented how I feel.”
The 24-year-old has a young daughter who is based in London and wants to move closer to his family.
The vast majority of Newcastle fans are understanding of Hayden’s situation and decision. Here are some tweets after he reiterated his desire to leave in the summer.
