A number of Glasgow Rangers fans have given their thoughts on the report claiming Steven Gerrard could soon lose the services of Ibrox prodigy Kai Kennedy.
The 18-year-old winger’s Rangers contract is set to expire next season and, according to the Scottish Sun, both parties are now at an impasse with regards to his future.
The report claims that Rangers had been in talks with Kennedy over an extension since the end of last year, but it’s thought his demands now far exceed what the club are willing to pay.
As a result, this impasse has reportedly seen the Scotland Under-19 international, who was training with the Rangers first team, sent back to work with the academy last week.
In addition, Rangers have believed to have told Kennedy that he’s free to leave Ibrox and find a new club if any suitors are prepared to make the right offer.
A follow-up report by the Daily Record, meanwhile, has claimed that contract talks have stalled over playing factors.
The 2019 Aklass Cup winner is highly rated at Auchenhowie and has been linked with Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Roma in the past.
Here is what some Bears have been saying about the speculation:
Extremely disappointed if we are going to let Kai Kennedy go. Craig Mullhullond was raving about him after the u19s tournament in Prague saying hes had better progression than Billy Gilmour at that age.

Can’t believe we will let him go for free. Best cash in now if he is determined to leave.
Shame as it would have been nice to see him break through, but you can’t blame them when they see the likes of Gilmour doing so well. Big money in England.

Tbf watching the youth games etc he always was a standout, another example of Scottish teams not giving youth a chance, it’s why we don’t produce enough elite players…

Someone is really badly advising Kai Kennedy right now and it could be to the detriment of his career, not just at Rangers. Hopefully he sees the faith and trust Steven Gerrard and Rangers have put on him and he signs a new long term deal.
