Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Guglielo Vicario has been sharing heavy praise for one of his teammates’ conduct behind the scenes.
Vicario, who is now settling into life in North London after a promising start at Spurs, did a remarkable job to replace Hugo Lloris so seamlessly when he arrived.

Yes, there was willingness for change among the Tottenham fan base, but Vicario wasn’t handed an easy task.
And yet the Italian looked comfortable and competent from the off, demonstrating the excellent value of his £17m-move.
Although Spurs may sign competition for Vicario in the summer, he should be a stalwart of the Ange Postecoglou era, a player who is already proving his leadership credentials.
That being said, in an interview with iNews, Vicario has now been praising the clubs current captain, Son Heung-min, for how he behaves both on and off the pitch.
Vicario said that Son was an immaculate professional in training and suggested he’s the perfect role model for any young player coming through the ranks.
Guglielmo Vicario praises Tottenham teammate Son Heung-min’s leadership
Speaking in the interview, Vicario explained that Son was pushing the squad each day behind the scenes.
He said: “I think Sonny is literally unbelievable.

“Of course in terms of training, but I think the most important thing you can see from a captain is the way in which he behaves and he’s perfect every day in trying to push our squad to try to achieve the best and try to do the best day by day and try to improve.
“I think Sonny is doing unbelievable as a footballer but also as a captain and a leader. He’s very important for us.”
Of course, Son has thrived from his added responsibility since Harry Kane left in the summer.
Although Son’s 10 goals and six assists in 36 games last season is by no means poor, it was a significant drop off on the 23 goals and nine assists he managed in 2021/22.
And when you consider that Son now has 13 goals and six assists in 23 games this season to date, he’s clearly back on track.
That being said, Vicario’s words demonstrate that his Tottenham teammate is offering so much more than just those numbers mentioned – perhaps delineating why a new contract should be a priority.
Daniel Levy will surely address that situation soon, and it seems as if he also has some other big plans for his club.
