Greg Taylor posts Twitter message after joining Celtic

Greg Taylor expressed his delight on social media after he completed a move to Parkhead – and some Celtic fans on Twitter welcomed him with open arms following his arrival.

The Bhoys signed the 21-year-old on Monday from Kilmarnock on a four-year deal and he’s viewed as the replacement for Kieran Tierney.

He played 131 first-team games during his time with Kilmarnock and is already an experienced defender at his young age.

The attack-minded left-back was given his senior Scotland debut back in June against Belgium and is a rising star on the up.

Taylor explained his delight after joining the domestic Scottish champions and is looking forward to his future with them.

“What an honour to sign for this massive club!! Can’t wait to get started and to play in front of the fans at Celtic park. It’s such a special day for me and my family. I will see you all soon Celtic,” Taylor wrote on is personal Twitter account.

A selection of Celtic supporters on social media responded to Taylor’s post and there seems to be a lot of positivity around his arrival.

He’s going to increase competition in the full-back area within Neil Lennon’s squad and fortunately he has the experience of playing in Scotland.

It looks like it could be a straight shootout between new recruit Taylor and another summer addition Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo, who made up for a slow start with an impressive performance in the 2-0 Old Firm win over Rangers at the weekend at Ibrox.
