'Absolute madness': Some Celtic fans react to 'crazy' Friday announcement
A number of Celtic fans have reacted negatively to the news that Luca Connell has left Parkhead on loan once again.
Connell got three goals and four assists in 11 appearances for the Spiders last season as they clinched the Scottish League Two title.
This term, the Glaswegians are flying high in League One and targeting a second consecutive promotion.
Connell joined Celtic from Bolton on a four-year deal two years ago but he has yet to make the first team at Parkhead.
He’ll have just 12 months left on his deal when he’s back at Parkhead next summer, still no closer to first-team action.
In addition, the Bhoys are currently light in midfield, and Connell could’ve been of use in the Europa League trip to Real Betis.
Here is what some Celtic fans made of the news:
he’s better than Queens Park surely— Matthew (@matthewd67) September 17, 2021
How is this testing him? He should be away to Ross County or Livingston. Someone where he might get game time in our league. Running riot in a part time league is ridiculous.— Frank Spencer (@FrankSp52492559) September 18, 2021
Don’t know why lower spfl teams like Ross county wouldn’t look at him, Feel he’s playing massively below his level— ShadowsOfWeevil🍀 (@ATcfc88) September 17, 2021
great signing for Queen’s Park nonetheless and should see promotion
@kianmcgrath03 greeting now, well done 👍— Aidan ❼ (@aidansmyth_) September 17, 2021

Would rather have kept him & gave him a chance rather than endure performances like last night from Soro— AM 🏴 (@annemarie6377) September 17, 2021
Crazy letting another CM leave when we are threadbare in that position.— Darren (@darren6015) September 17, 2021
Another young player to have wasted time at Celtic— Auribus Teneo Lupum (@AirbusLupum) September 18, 2021
Absolute madness. Kids has bags of talent and we have no midfield!— Chris McDonagh (@CMcDBhoy) September 17, 2021
