Following the announcement that Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers have signed Kemar Roofe, a number of Leeds players have given their thoughts on their former colleague’s Ibrox switch.
The 27-year-old scored 32 goals in 122 games for the Elland Road side and was highly rated by Whites manager Marcelo Bielsa, who admitted last August that he couldn’t “be happy” to see the striker leave (BBC Sport).

Roofe moved to Belgian side Anderlecht and, although he unfortunately saw his campaign hampered by injury, he still managed a respectable seven goals and three assists in 16 appearances in all competitions.
On Tuesday, Rangers confirmed the signing of Roofe on a four-year contract for an undisclosed fee reported to be £4million (Daily Mail), one of two strikers arriving at Ibrox on the day alongside Cedric Itten.
Given Roofe’s exploits for Leeds and his camaraderie with his former Elland Road teammates, some Whites players took to social media to praise him and wish him well as he begins his Rangers adventure.
Rangers began their Scottish Premiership campaign with a 1-0 win at Aberdeen and will take on Bayer Leverkusen in their Europa League round-of-16 second leg on Thursday.
Leeds, meanwhile, are back in the Premier League after 16 years out after winning the 2019-20 Championship title.
