‘Great scenes’: These Rangers fans respond with delight to Ibrox star’s recognition

Rangers fans have reacted with delight to confirmation that Alfredo Morelos has been named Scottish Premiership Player of the Month for March.

It’s been a stellar month for the Colombian, who scored in all three of his side’s matches and found the net against Celtic for the first time.

The 24-year-old has been in superb form in recent weeks, taking his record for the season to 16 goals in 38 games.

He began the month with one of his team’s most vital goals of the season, finding the net three minutes from time to secure a 1-0 win over Livingston at the Tony Macaroni Arena.

That was followed three days later by another in the 3-0 victory against St Mirren at Ibrox, and it was his header on March 21 that ensured Steven Gerrard’s men remain unbeaten in three derbies this season.

Morelos has become a fans’ favourite during his time at Rangers, and these supporters were fulsome in their praise after the award was announced.
