'Great player': Liverpool reportedly keen on signing star Alexander-Arnold thinks is so 'underrated'
Trent Alexander-Arnold is a big fan of reported Liverpool target Lorenzo Insigne.
Area Napoli reported yesterday that Liverpool are now keen to sign Lorenzo Insigne.
And if he does arrive at Anfield this summer, then Alexander-Arnold may be fearing training sessions.
When Liverpool were set to take on Napoli in the Champions League back in 2019, the right-back spoke effusively with praise of the Italian player.
“He’s a great player, probably a little bit underrated in terms of the respect and the plaudits that he gets, but he’s a real fantastic player,” he said to the London Evening Standard.
A star of Euro 2020
Insigne has really highlighted his talents in the last few weeks at Euro 2020.
The rapid wide-man has been a key player for Italy, as they have reached the final of the tournament.
Insigne has two goals to his name already, and has proven a major threat against almost every side he has come up against.
At the age of 30, he is now reaching the twilight of his career, but if Liverpool were to land him he could still be an appealing short-term addition.
The Reds’ attack didn’t quite function at its optimum level last year, but bringing in a player of Insigne’s quality would make competition for places far more fierce.
