Liverpool assistant manager, Pep Lijnders, has said that both James Milner and Jordan Henderson are two prime examples of the ‘great, great personalities’ at Anfield.
Lijnders, who was speaking to the club’s official website in a Q&A, was asked a number of questions about how the coaching team have dealt with the pandemic and how things have changed.

Among the questions was one about the mentality of the players and their mental strength. And Lijnders, who said the group is ‘created on personality’, singled out Milner and Henderson as examples.
“Never forget, this team is selected by great, great personalities and influenced by great, great personalities. If you hear Jordan shouting in the game, you see Jordan coaching in the game. If you hear Millie before the game talking in the dressing room and repeating all the things we said already during the week, or the meeting of Jürgen,” Lijnders said.
Both Milner and Henderson have become integral figures under Klopp, even though the former has started to see less minutes in recent times.

The Reds duo are loved at Anfield and Lijnders’s comments only seem to reinforce their importance to the cause.

Everyone knows how important Henderson and Milner are to Liverpool. Their experience, love for the club, and willingness to seemingly run through a brick wall for Jurgen Klopp is apparent.
Both players have been vital in the success Liverpool have enjoyed in recent years and to hear Lijnders explain just how well-respected they both are sums up their importance.
