Everton loanee Moise Kean has been tipped for a “great future” by Leonardo.
The 20-year-old forward joined Everton in 2019 from Juventus for an initial fee of around £25million that could rise to £27.5million.
Kean’s arrival was met with much fanfare at Goodison Park given his talent and potential, but his first season at Goodison Park didn’t go to plan.
In 37 appearances for Everton, he scored just four goals, and he struggled for game time, with only six Premier League starts under his belt.
Kean swapped the Toffees for Paris Saint-Germain last October and he has been nothing short of sensational for the Ligue 1 giants, scoring 14 goals in 26 appearances.
And Leonardo, PSG’s sporting director, thinks the young Italian has a great career ahead of him, but remained coy over where his future will be beyond the summer.
“And I thought it could be a positive thing to have Kean available for a year.
“Today, it’s difficult to say what his future will be, we will see towards the end of the season.
“Today it’s very complicated to know how it will go, but Kean certainly has a great future ahead of him.”
Things just weren’t going well for Kean at Everton, so it wasn’t surprising to see him make the switch to another team, and luckily for the player and for PSG, he’s been thriving.
Given he’s contracted to the Blues until 2024, their hand is strong in terms of any potential transfer negotiations.
Could Everton look to give Kean another chance in the summer? That said, would Kean be willing to stay at Goodison Park when he’s done so well at PSG?
