Mauricio Pochettino watched on as his Paris Saint-Germain side were knocked out of the Champions League by Manchester City on Tuesday night – and Tottenham legend Graham Roberts has urged him to return to Spurs.
Pochettino, 49, signed an 18-month deal at PSG that will keep him with the French side until the summer of 2022 – but has made a somewhat tricky start to life in the French capital. Beating Barcelona, though, was a big highlight.
However, PSG remain second in Ligue 1 behind Lille and were knocked out of the Champions League on Tuesday night as Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City produced a flawless second-leg display at The Etihad – winning 4-1 overall.
PSG’s players lost their heads towards the end of the game. Angel Di Maria was sent off for a pathetic, petulant stamp on Fernandinho – while Prsenel Kimpembe and Marco Verratti were both lucky not to be sent off.
Spurs legend Roberts responded on Twitter to the PSG players losing their discipline and believes ex-Tottenham gaffer Pochettino deserves better. He urged the Argentine to return to Spurs.
Watching PSG no discipline in the players Poch get out of there and come home your wasted there

TBR’s view – Is there any chance of a Pochettino return?
Well, firstly, could he leave PSG? His current contract situation hardly gives the ex-Southampton and Espanyol manager long-term security – with the South American gaffer set to see his terms expire in June 2022.
Struggling in Ligue 1, and failing to replicate last season’s run to the Champions League final, means Pochettino could be under pressure. But the chances are, that he will be given a full season in the role to show what he can do.
Then, would Spurs take him back? He remains a legend at the club but things turned sour following the Champions League final defeat to Liverpool. He would be welcomed back, but are things still stale? Perhaps it is too soon.
