Tottenham Hotspur legend Graham Roberts has praised Ben Davies for his “outstanding” display against Nottingham Forest on Friday night.
The Spurs icon took to X to laud the Wales international as well as Dejan Kulusevski, who registered a goal and an assist on the night.
Ange Postecoglou’s charges took the lead in first-half injury time, when Kulusevski whipped in a great cross for Richarlison to head home.
Forest thought they had equalised when Anthony Elanga tapped in, but VAR disallowed the goal after spotting he was ahead of the Spurs defence.

Tottenham then doubled their lead in the 65th minute as Kulusevski went from provider to goalscorer, slamming home with an effort that went through Matt Turner’s hands.
Spurs ended the match a man down after Yves Bissouma was sent off for a lunge on Ryan Yates, but Spurs held on for all three points and a clean sheet.
Meanwhile, Davies delivered another great performance as the left-sided centre-back, impressing on and off the ball and battling for everything.
Roberts took to social media to give his thoughts on the game, Spurs as a team, Davies and Kulusevski, and also the refereeing display.
Ben Davies a manager’s dream for Tottenham Hotspur and Wales
Although Davies may not be a regular starter for Tottenham, his talent, work ethic and attitude have endeared him to virtually every Spurs manager over the past nine years.
The £10million man is now showing how good he is, to the point that you have to wonder whether he has been wasted at left-back all these years.
Davies is a the ideal player to have in the Tottenham ranks and in the dressing room, and no doubt he’ll continue to give his all to Spurs over the coming years.
Tottenham are next in action next Saturday when they host Everton in a 3pm kickoff at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
